She launched Via Travel Service in the Midwest to provide concierge-style planning to clients wanting dream vacations in global destinations and handles travel needs for individuals, families, and groups from her office in Shorewood, Wisconsin.
As a Concierge Travel Planner, Niki offers personalized consultations to understand each client's unique preferences. She evaluates and recommends destinations tailored to their needs, manages every detail of the booking process, from securing accommodations and transportation to arranging activities. Niki meticulously organizes all logistics, ensuring seamless itineraries for stress-free vacations. With her extensive network of exclusive partnerships and affiliations, she is equipped to curate bespoke experiences uniquely tailored to your preferences, which might be unattainable through standard channels. Niki's commitment to excellence is bolstered by her proactive approach to staying informed—she personally explores destinations and resorts to keep abreast of changes and new features. Niki's personal and professional journeys have spanned 36 countries, with Thailand, Turkey, and Kenya among her favorite international destinations. Her extensive experience with cruises, sparked by family vacations, enables her to recommend them as an ideal option for families seeking diverse and carefree travel experiences. Domestically, she has explored 30 U.S. states, with creating cherished memories in Hawaii and Alaska.
Before establishing Via Travel Service, Niki honed her skills with two of the largest travel agencies in the U.S., managing travel arrangements for notable clients such as RJ Reynolds Tobacco, major furniture industries in North Carolina, and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation in Chicago.
Niki is a proud member of the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), the world's largest association of travel professionals, where she completed the Verified Travel Advisor program. She has also earned the Certified Travel Associate (CTA) designation from The Travel Institute, a prestigious certification that recognizes her comprehensive industry knowledge and commitment to the highest standards of professionalism. Sophie is new to the travel industry, but far from new to travel. She has been to 23 countries across 4 continents and is eager to continue the ever-growing list. She found her love for travel as a competitive fencer growing up. Competition took her to amazing places, such as London, England; Dakar, Senegal, and Tianjin, China. She adores Europe, but is always excited to experience somewhere new!
Sophie is currently developing her specialty in the industry as an expert in golf travel, honeymoon and celebratory experiences, and wellness vacations:
Her experience in golf derives from her time working at Ozaukee Country Club, where she gained the understanding of what clients value from not only the game aspect, but also the destination. Her familiarity and connections in Scotland have given her an exciting head start!
She is passionate about curating the perfect honeymoon/celebratory experiences for clients. Making memories together with loved ones will last a lifetime, and she is so excited she can be a part of making it come to life.

My last trip was to Scotland where I explored Inverness, Isle of Skye, and Edinburgh. While I was there I tried the Scottish traditional dish of Haggis (savoury pudding containing sheep's pluck, minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally cooked while encased in the animal's stomach) although keeping to my American roots it was over nachos . My next trip is to Orlando, Florida for Universal Studio's Harry Potter World!
